heya!, it was sooo weird seeing some of old teachers when i came to help on that thursday. We are just coming to the end of our school year, I can't believe time has gone so quickly and once more we are saying goodbye to our Year sixes. Again we had a brilliant School Camp despite the tents being washed away at night! A great talent show on our last night as well. This is a nice site which I found quite by accident. I was at this school between 1973 and 1977 when I moved to Australia, where I'm still living. I have many memories of St Mary's and it's one place where I'd like to visit when I come back to Penzance, whenever that will be. The teachers that were there in those years were: Mrs Beckerlegg, Mrs Crossman, Mrs Uren, Miss Savage and Miss Girling.

Hello, I used to be a pupil at this school about 15 years ago, this is when Mr Johns was the Head Master, I hope all the teachers that are still at the school from when i was there are doing well, (Mrs Francis, Mrs Branston etc..) I have had a lovely time looking at each class page, the art work and trips out look great.
Good to look through the guest book, an ex pupil from the sixties as well , it's lovely to think that old friends can sign on to view St Mary's as it is now.

As Christine Holdway I used to attend this school in the early 1960s when it was an all-girls junior school. My father was the vicar at St. John's church at the time. I can remember being sent home one morning during a terrible storm when sea water lashed at the windows and great chunks of the promenade were torn up by the waves. Miss Girling our teacher told us to go straight home and not walk near buildings because of the danger of falling roof tiles! I don't think that we would be allowed to walk home on our own under similar circumstances today! I have enjoyed taking a virtual peep into your classrooms and seeing all your lovely work. I'm going to have my photo tomorrow along with Lamorna (Bessie),Jack (Chuck) and the camels as well (I think!) I'm so excited about the christmas plays! All of the plays look really good but they probably would look even better with all of the costumes!!!!!

It is really lovely to see everyone back this term and a warm welcome to those who are new to us. A great big thankyou to all the children for our smashing Harvest Festival this morning, didn't they do well. Also a thankyou to all at home for the super gifts.

We had a fantastic time at Miss Spargo's (or should I say Mrs. Wilson's) wedding on Saturday. She looked lovely..all sparkly and glittery! She seemed to smile all day and it was impossible to get her off the dance floor in the evening!

Just like to say "Well Done" to all the Junior children who worked on our RE display (photos of it are in the gallery.) The judges of the Barnabas competition gave us a "Highly Commended" for our entry which is cool!
